Illegal Immigration.

Illegal immigration has effected everyone in the United States in one form or another. For most people it has brought poverty, crime, drugs, and violence. Very few individuals have benefited in some way by the impaction of our resources that illegal immigration has created. Those few that have benefited would like to spin slanderous lies, dedicated to blaming our youth for the problems that have been so obviously created by their own selfish agenda. In so doing they have been unsuccessfully promoting themselves and their indentured servants ( illegal immigrants ) as the savior of our nation. The facts however, present a much different history, a  bleak present, and foretell a horrific future.

Most current economic woes can be directly attributed to massively high levels of illegal immigration. We are experiencing a lowering wage, high demand, inflation on all fronts, especially in the housing sector, and a vastly depleted subsidy resource, just to name a few. To make matters even worse, the minimum wage as compared to the cost of living is becoming more and more unrealistic. This is a tragedy for our nations economy and must be stopped. Whats even worse, is that our poverty stricken have been baring the brunt of the economic woes created by corrupt congress and legislation, through the form of punishment of the citizens of the United States for merely being poor.

Ignorance of human rights violations in Mexico that led to the illegal immigration, seem to be a complete failure of governance. People do not flee a nation in the tens of millions unless the nation is non conducive to human rights. This has also led to human rights violations within the United States by city municipalities that seem to be mostly ignored by state and federal watchdog agencies. It is time to stand united as a people once again, and put focus back on those that bear responsibility. The guilty parties know who they are, and they are afraid that the people will stand together and form a legal front, exposing the true nature of the corruption.

Focus on the Guadalupe-Hidalgo treaty is the beginning of the end of this tragedy, especially Article 5 Paragraph 4 which states the obvious:

“The boundary line established by this article shall be religiously respected by each of the two republics, and no change shall ever be made therein, except by the express and free consent of both nations, lawfully given by the General Government of each, in conformity with its own constitution.”

To uphold the treaty law is not just a responsibility, it is also the very infrastructure of our relational ties to a once hostile nation. A nation that has through poor economic policy, been forcing it's citizens to flee it's borders. The Mexican people need our help, and they are not going to get it if we stand idly by, in complete ignorance of the facts, allowing their government to traffic in human beings. Only by forcing exposure of the human rights violations, and the clear breaches of treaty law, can we provide international assistance and prevent our own government from enacting similar institutional failures of governance as those of Mexico, that have led to their own poverty and suffering.
